Terms of Service

You are responsible for your account and for activity that happens under it. Provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and you must be old enough to use the service in your jurisdiction.

During the invite-only beta, account creation may require an invite code, and features may change, break, or be removed as we develop the product.

Channels are licensed namespace assets, not property. Registration grants usage and ownership rights subject to our expiration and reclamation policies. Verified and reserved names are governed separately.

Channel owners appoint operators and moderators and set house rules on top of these terms. Owners and operators are responsible for how their rooms are run.

Be kind. No harassment, hate, threats, or illegal content. Do not share others' private information, impersonate people, spam, or attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.

Only play, upload, stream, or record content you have the right to use. You are responsible for content you contribute, including clips and anything captured while you are in a recorded room.

You keep the rights to content you contribute, and grant Cheers the license needed to host, display, transmit, and composite it to operate the service. We and channel operators may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these terms or a channel's rules. Serious or repeated violations can lead to suspension or removal.

You never pay to participate or speak in a room. Paid plans, where offered, bill on the stated cycle and can be cancelled anytime; access continues through the paid period. Channel limits and premium features depend on your plan.

The service is provided “as is” during the beta, without warranties, and may have interruptions. To the extent permitted by law, Cheers is not liable for indirect or incidental damages.

We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be surfaced in-product. Continuing to use Cheers after an update means you accept the revised terms.
